Based in Jackson, Wyoming, Frontier Alliance International is an organization that advances humanitarian aid to some of the most crisis-hit regions of the world using a Christ-centered approach. Committed to informing the public on some of the biggest stories happening in the areas where it has a presence, Frontier Alliance International (FAI) publishes The Wire, an online news blog.
Recently, FAI ran a story on The Wire highlighting the challenges people in 13 Afghanistan provinces were facing because of floods that occurred in late August 2020. Parwan Province, north of the Afghan capital of Kabul, was the most affected by the flash floods, with 116 people killed and dozens of others reported missing. The floods left thousands of people without homes and many more struggling to find food and other necessities.
Global Catalytic Ministries (GCM) already had a presence in some of these areas and was working with community members to spread God’s word there. It is offering support to the families it works directly with, helping them cope in the aftermath of the disaster. It is also requesting members of FAI’s global community to offer support to provide food and medicine to assist those in need. Monetary donations can be channeled through FAI’s “giving” web page.
