BCF's Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

A nonprofit organization founded in 2011, Frontier Alliance International seeks to preach the Gospel to those who have not heard it, following Saint Paul's example of laying a solid foundation (see Romans 15:20). Frontier Alliance International also collaborates with other organizations such as the Barzani Charitable Foundation (BCF).

Located in Erbil, Iraq, the BCF began in 2005 by focusing primarily on providing humanitarian aid to those in the local area, but has since expanded its services to include programs in countries ranging from Turkey and Syria to Australia. Since the appearance of COVID-19, the organization has cooperated with health officials to address regional needs.

The BCF has supplied a variety of medical equipment and begun construction on a new emergency hospital. The organization seeks to raise awareness about proper health response to the pandemic, distributing informational brochures and giving medical instruction in various camps and communities.

In addition to its health services efforts, the organization has provided basic necessities to those in need through the BCF Food Hotline. More than 46,000 people have phoned in to the hotline in order to receive family food kits.
